We produce original barrels to better show maki-e and Tsugaru-nuri.
The main material is ebonite, which is compatible with Urushi.
Thread is designed to allow room for urushi to be applied.
The main size of our fountain pens is: overall length is 155mm, thickness is 16.5mm. (The first model was 17 mm in diameter, but we made it slightly thinner.)
For reference, the Montblanc 149 is 164mm in length and 15mm in thickness.
