A tiger, at its strongest stance. The pattern was taken from a Juban (to be worn under a kimono) for men.

Kiri (Paulownia wood) pen tray made with vintage kimono. 

Two wood finishes are available: a stain coating in several color and a fuki-urushi (lacquer) finish.

- The wood work are done by a long-established company that has been in business for over 80 years. The material together with their skilled craftsmenship, we are confident that these trays are very solid and well built.

- KIRI wood : Paulownia wood is also widely used in making chests, with drawers for storing kimonos. It has a humidity-controlling effect and can protect against mold and insect bites caused by moisture.

- Sakura (cherry tree)tree bark :We present you this unique pen tray made of cherry tree bark.
During the rainy season, after the bark of the cherry tree are softened, the craftsmen would go into the mountains and strip only the tree of its bark , then bring them back to their atelier to prepare and process. This is a traditional craft from the northeastern part of Japan. 
The bark of the cherry tree is not painted at all, it is shiny, strong, and luxurious in appearance

- Shipping : As we make it after receiving your order, it will take around 12 days for shipment. In addition, if there are events such as pen shows, it may take longer for shipment.

- Small Packaged: Usually takes 10-15 days to arrive. No tracking number will be attached. Up to 3 pen trays are available (for larger quantities, please use "Standard").

- Standard: Shipped by FedEx or EMS. Safer and faster shipping method, shipping days will depend on your location , imported duties and procedures might take longer

About kimono:　Kimonos are not worn very often nowadays, most people only wear them on special occasions, which is seldom in modern Japan. Unfortunately, many nice kimonos are left in the wardrobe without a chance to be worn, seen nor appreciated. We are looking for good ways to make use of them and let the public to know how valueable they are. We get kimonos from vendors, at the same time, we are trying to get kimonos from the elder generation of our friends and acquaintances, not only these kimonos are in good quality, they also tell stories and history of earlier Japan culture.

Note: Kimono patterns vary depending on how we obtain such kimonos. As a result, please understand in advance that the pattern might be different from the picture shown on the website. The same pattern of kimono would only have limited amount.
